We are so grateful, honored and stoked to be working with so many incredibly talented creatives and amazing institutions and projects. Thanks to everyone participating in our Ars Electronica Festival Garden NYC, the audience will experience five days of pure magic.
Mx_mango is the solo project of composer, producer and experimental sonic artist Kat Carlsen. The project is a place where they can push the boundaries of genre and experiment with music as a tool for unfiltered self expression. Their work explores themes such as embodiment in the digital age, fragmentation of identities, and navigating hybrid identities. Their influences range from their experiences singing in jazz bands to their background in writing music for dance, as well as their studies of mindfulness psychology, and inspiration from their day-to-day life in New York City. They are performing during the "Conscious Community" component. IG: @_kat____
Soo-Young aka Vizmesh
Soo-Young is a blockchain developer, university instructor and founder of Vizmesh (a decentralized NFT gallery and curation platform) who has organized physical NFT exhibitions and events in New York City to advance NFTs into the mainstream and support emerging artists in the space. His work explores the complex theme of experiencing NFTs both individually and socially across physical, augmented/virtual reality and digital installations. He is curating the NFT gallery. Flex Dance Program (FDP)
Flex Dance Program (FDP) is an arts and education nonprofit that fosters positive growth among young people in difficult circumstances. FDP employs renowned dancers from local communities to develop routines with our students in order to promote self-esteem, cooperation, and communication. We seek to transform physical energy into positive, nonverbal self-expression that offers an alternative to conflict. FDP has instructed and performed at juvenile detention centers, prisons, and community centers in NYC. They are performing during the "Conscious Community" component. IG: @flexin_flexout
Born in Buenos Aires and based in New York, German Palacio also known as Ulisespal is a musician and visual artist. His work incorporates dark concepts and new technology.
Lately, he's been developing a new visual technique incorporating audio reactivity to his sound and visuals as lights. Ulisespal is collaborating with She's Exciited! for the interactive audio-visual sculpture "In The Cube".
Clara Fancesca is an “athlete of the heart making art”. She is co-curating this Festival Garden and realizing her brilliant visions for workshops and panel discussions.
She's Excited! is the Electronic Pop project of Brooklyn-based producer and powerhouse performer Anne Wichmann. With an appetite for intelligent and genre-bending music, she listens to music defined by limitless imagination rather than genre. This bleeds into her versatile style of dark yet sparkling Electronic Pop that she merges with empowering and uplifting words.
Anne is stoked to co-curate this Festival Garden and connect with so many amazing artists. She is also collaborating with Ulisespal for the interactive audio-visual sculpture "In The Cube"
Kamel GHABTE is a versatile digital artist who develops My DIGITAL FOOD, different tools and programmes revolving around digital interactivity in real time. Besides, he’s a consultant as well as a composer of electronic music and an instructor in digital audio and digital interactivity. Kamel is one of the curators, and you can see some of his amazing AR sculptures in the Sculpture Garden. IG: @kamel_ghabte_
